5×7 inch panel
I have been working on small panels to make some journals again. My handbound journals will always be a mixed media creation using my photos. I worked that way for so long back in the day, that it is just what I do. I enjoy bringing paint and little bits of this and that with my photos in these small and intimate formats.
Lately I seem to be focusing on photos that I have taken of roads and paths. While I love home, I really and truly am a home-body, I also get bad cases of wanderlust. Strange how every 4 or 5 years I start getting an itch to move again. Maybe I inherited a bit of that looking towards the distant horizon from my immigrant parents. I personally don’t think that I could ever be half as brave as they were moving to a new country, alone, without family, a different language to a place where everything was so different.
While I long to put down roots where ever I am, I cannot help myself. I am always looking down the path and wondering what life is like down that way.
