amanobooks.com redesign launched!

I’ve been working away for months it seems on redesigning amanobooks.com. We first created my web shop for handmade journals back in 2002 and I finally decided that I needed a new design. The whole site has been updated and refined and I’m so excited about it! A lot of the changes are more back end things, which will make things so much easier for me.

Once again I have gone through the journals that I make and focused on what I really enjoy making. My time to work is limited now, so I have to make priorities. Having too many journals to create was just getting to be too overwhelming. Plus the fact that when I work, I usually want to paint, rather than make journals! So I needed to take a step back and figure out how to simplify things so that I can spend the time I have making things that I want to make. I am going to focus on my mixed media journals and my natural elements journals. These are the journals that I love to make.

There are still kinks to work out since we relaunched it last night, but so far everything is working. I will be working on updating it all week when I can and fixing anything that comes up. I also added a mixed media art section, where I can offer some of my art as well. Stay tuned….

  1. your website has always been one of my favorites. i thought about trying to copy it, i love it so much. but, i decided that wouldn’t be right, so i didn’t. 🙂 it is simple, yet elegant. very lovely.

  2. Bridgette the new site is perfectly lovely and your artwork fits into it beautifully. I think the ability to prioritize is the most important skill an artist (and mother) has…good luck and happy painting!

  3. el corazon is beautiful

I’m preparing to launch my website later this week and boy do I know what you mean about time and having to identify priorities, and I don’t have a small child to care for! I don’t know how you do it.

Now I’m back to check out the site.

    Congratulations !
