embodiment
embodiment, mixed media and encaustic
on birch, 8×10 inches

Not too many words ready to spill from my lips these days. Or rather my fingertips. Feeling quiet and still. Must be the weather.

Here is a recent encaustic piece that I finished last week. I’ve been working on a series of encaustic paintings on birch. Trying to capture that feeling of longing and openness that I often feel through my landscapes.

I have just found your wonderful blog. I understand the need not to talk much from time to time. But your paintings say so much. "embodiment" is really quite lovely.

    I will visit you often.

I love these pieces on birch panel Bri. They give such warmth and depth coupled with the wax. Lovely!

Another amazing piece. I love the image of the tree and the overall composition and placement of the details is Perfect with a capital P!
