I was invited to be part of the group show “From the Forest” that will be opening at Manor Mill Gallery in Monkton this week and I just delivered these six paintings. These pieces have been hanging on my studio wall for the past few months and I will miss them! But hopefully they will find new homes.
All the images that I used for these pieces were from hikes I have taken around various parts of the country- out in the pacific northwest, to the northeast to right here in Maryland. And all the pieces have some sort of salvaged or foraged material, either what the piece is painted on or materials brought to the piece.
I am excited that these six pieces will be showing together as a group and with this group of artists at Manor Mill.
