The third piece in the series I have been working on about being in the woods. This image is obviously not in the woods, but rather when I emerged from the woods as I was reaching the summit of Mt. Constitution on Orcas Island, WA many many years ago.
The title for this piece came from a podcast I was listening to this week on Sounds True. It was an interview with Sheryl Lisa Finn about anxiety and how connection to self, to each other, to the natural world, to the unseen world can help ground oneself in this very anxiety producing world. At one point she said “Intention is everything”. I wrote it down on my studio table paper.
From my understanding, intention seems like it is a conscious act of articulating what is important. Value setting, I guess. How one walks through the world and what guides you as you walk through the world. it does make sense that intention is everything. hmmm.
