seahorse

One last post before my sister arrives. I wanted to thank Roben-Marie Smith again for gifting me with a pro account at flickr. That was such a nice surprise. I really have been getting a lot of use out of it and have discovered more artists whose art works are inspiring. I haven’t explored flickr as much as I would like though as I don’t have much time for things like surfing around on the internet anymore. But flickr is fun and I’ve really been using it now that I have a pro account. Thanks again for your thoughtful gift!

seahorse, encaustic, 6×6 inches

For this encaustic painting I used a pencil drawing that I had done for a mixed media journal last year. I photocopied the collage I had made with the drawing and did a transfer onto the wax with it. I like reincarnating some of my old pieces into a new thing entirely.

I also just ordered some fine art prints of some of my paintings from iprintfromhome.com that Suzanne Clements recommended to me for slides. They arrived a few days ago and they turned out really nicely. I am going to cut some mats for them for an arts festival that is coming up soon in my neighborhood.

  1. hi terry, thanks for visiting my blog! Right now I have some work at the Starbucks in Magnolia village. In august I will have some paintings at the Magnolia art festival and in September I will have some work up at Irwin’s in Wallingford. Thanks for your interest!
