Ah yes, solitude is sweet for those who land on the introvert spectrum. I honestly feel like I don’t get enough of it. Even though compared to the average person, that might sound crazy. I truly enjoy my time to myself. I need it and crave it. As a mother it is difficult to get that alone time. Life is pretty busy with several people in the house. My kids are older now, my youngest in high school. But as an artist mother, I learned to guard my studio time zealously. And I still do. But it’s good to be in community. I think. Sometimes I’m not so sure. But it’s a balance I guess. I will always prefer alone time though.

Honestly I don’t ever feel truly alone. I guess that’s why my solitude doesn’t feel lonely.

And maybe that’s what those dots around the bird are. Hmmmm.

I started this panel in my last workshop at Manor Mill and finished it back in my studio. And now “Sweet Solitude” is back in Monkton in the 1st floor gallery shop. I dropped it off and another piece this week after I framed it up in this black float frame.
