Well, I did it. I made it to the end. 30 paintings in 30 days. Although small panels, they still took time and effort. Effort to show up everyday, turn on the wax, and create. Some days I’d show up with grace and excitement for the opportunity to approach a new panel. Other days I was like, oh, man, just get the damn thing done. And even tonight I wanted to write up a reflection on this month, but it has been a long day and I need to go to bed. Volunteering during the kindergarten book fair at our school will do that to you. So incredibly cute, but I was pooped after. I honestly wonder how I did it back in the day. Oh right, I was 20 years younger and had way more energy back then. But all good things require energy, dedication and effort. Much like this month. Hopefully I can write up a little something later.
Day 29 of the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge
Day 30
“I have learned one thing. As Woody says, ‘Showing up is 80 percent of life.’ Sometimes it’s easier to hide home in bed. I’ve done both.” -Marshall Brickman
So proud of you! Inspiring, and I want to challenge myself! I think I’ll do something in January, which is always a tough month for me to get through. Those sunflowers are a grand finale! Will you please take a picture of all of them together before they disperse? (if it’s not too late!) Bravo, bravo!
What an incredible achievement. Congratulations.
