I’m pleased to announce that I will have four paintings included in the exhibition “Fused” at the Black Cloud Gallery. This exhibit is a FUSEDChicago show curated by the gallery. I am looking forward to another FusedChicago show, this time in the heart of the Chicago Arts District in the Pilsen neighborhood. We all work with wax, but coming from different backgrounds and experience. It is fascinating to see the different approaches to working in encaustic in one group show.

The other paintings that I will have in the show are Born of Earth and Bone and Of Living Root.

I am headed out this week with my kids to visit my family in Maryland and am due to get back into Chicago on the 1st, so as of right now I am not sure if I will be able to make it to the opening reception. Hopefully, I can figure out a way to get there. But if you can’t make it to the opening, there is another reception July 8th as Black Cloud Gallery participates in the 2nd Friday event.

At any rate, the show will be up until July 20th, so be sure to stop in!

  1. I wish I could be there – not a hope, even with Air Miles! All the best – hope you are all well. Love the new journals. I am just creating a new book-lover’s blog and am including a section on handmade books. I’d like to include you at some point if you agree – when I’ve drummed up a following or I’ll be wasting everyone’s time. (http://thebook-readersblog.blogspot.com)

  2. I saw your work on the plaster workshop. So glad I followed through and discovered your blog. You are a true professional, very talented. Your books are indeed simply divine. You have obviously worked at your art for many years, stayed focused, and challenged yourself. Haven’t a clue how you have created these, but it is a pleasure to see them. I will visit your site often for the visual joy.
