The Kenneth J. Minneart Center for the Arts in Olympia, WA is holding their Second Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibit this month and my piece above will be included in the exhibit. The opening reception will be held on Friday, January 5, 2007, 7-9 p.m. Unfortunately I won’t be there, but I am hoping that I will be able to make it during the month that it is up.
I really like how I framed this piece too. I created it on a wood panel, so I wanted it to float in the frame. The framing turned out fantastic. The framer that helps me is really great. As a former framer, I really do feel that framing can be the last step to completing a piece of artwork. So I was pleased when I picked it up from the frame shop.
I should have taken a picture of it in its frame. Ah well, next time!
Beautiful piece! makes me wish I could touch it! Looking forward to seeing more of your work! Best of luck with your new years goals! namaste Elis.
