a view from my beach chair
I have been on a bit of an art blogging hiatus as we were just in Puerto Rico over the weekend for a wedding of an old college friend. Although the trip was only a few days, preparing for it seemed to take up a lot of time and energy…and no studio time! Hopefully I will be able to get back into the swing of things soon.
in old San Juan
I did manage to write a journaling prompt over at the amanobooks blog featuring the artwork of Julie Prichard of The Land of Lost Luggage. Actually check out the two most recent posts, as I used her work for both entries. I couldn’t help myself, they are fantastic visual journal pages!
our first stop when we arrived from frigid chicago, hammocks on the beach
Ahhhh, Puerto Rico, how I miss you….
Great photos!!! I ♥ the one of the sky and palm. *sigh*
Oh, could you bear to tear yourself away, and back to the snow?
Thank you somuch, Bridgette…and Puerto Rico looks so inviting!
I’m giggling at those white toes that have probably been stuck in boots for months! Bet they were happy to be in PR too 🙂

btw, awesome pix and glad to see you’re enjoying that hammack. 🙂
Ahhhh….that first shot reminded ME of home! It sounded like a much needed respite, but way too short a trip!
I love the shot of the feet in the hammock too.
These are wonderful photos! Even with the beach around the corner, I just don’t take time to go and relax a while. Have a great day!
Love the hammock shot.Am sitting in cold Nova Scotia dreaming of hammock days to come.
Lokks and sounds like the perfect respite!
