I just shipped out one of my Tree Books that I donated for the CRAM Collective fundraiser for our dear friend and fellow artist Crystal Neubauer. Happy that someone purchased it and that those funds will provide Crystal a little relief. There are different ways to support- I just purchased raffle tickets for two different online classes. I have known Crystal for 15 years, I think? I read her blog back in the blogging days and enjoyed how her posts always delved into something deep. She has always been willing to go beyond the surface, which is not an easy or safe thing to do. I can’t actually remember when we met in person. Possibly in Illinois when I lived in Chicago or possibly when we both went out to Oregon to teach at a retreat. We also showed together in a 2 woman show in Evanston, IL and I loved how our work looked next to each other. It was like our work was speaking to each other on another plane.
Crystal is a generous and brave spirit and I am glad I could help out in this small way. We need to hold each other up in times of need. It’s as simple as that.
