figure one
figure one, encaustic, 3×5 inches

I created this tiny encaustic during the workshop last week to practice scraping through the layers. I like how it turned out even though it’s pretty different than my usual. One of the things that I really like about this medium is that there is a certain amount of “letting go” that is required. At least for me, at this point in my process. What I mean by letting go, is that there are certain results that happen without planning and you just have to be open to it.

My web site is now updated! I still have more tweaking to do here and there. But for the most part it is done.

    I really like this piece - the top half could be a piece all unto it's self.

    All of your encaustic pieces are really spectacular. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite!
