Day 4
encaustic mixed media
8×6 inches
So far this week I have started my morning with doing a panel for this 30 paintings in 30 days challenge that I joined. And in the afternoon I work on much larger paintings and other projects that I have lined up. Yesterday I really got going on an 18×24 inch panel, working the surface, creating the composition, feeling my way towards a new direction. I am thinking that I am finally going to work on some larger abstract paintings that I have been wanting to do for a long time, but never happens. That’s what I’m thinking right now and feel excited about it. We’ll see though. I usually change my mind. And I always reserve the right to do so.
This one excited me because I like the composition and I am thinking that I will try this on a much larger scale, without the tree. This is good- I will use these small 30 in 30 challenges as studies. I may end up binding these small panels as journal covers too at some point. hmmmm.
You “30 in 30 days” people really impress me; I don’t know how you do it! Such a work ethic is something to be proud of. The fact that your are all so beautiful ain’t bad, either! 🙂
Thanks sharmon! I think I’m going to have to rethink how I’ll do this. Maybe work even smaller sizes then at the end of the month put them all together to create a grid. That seems way more do-able and less pressure
Beautiful website and blog Bridgette…”our work” has merit, and is developing beautifully as an exhibition collection. Focus on your 30 in 30 and achieve the results – SOLO SHOW!
Will enjoy following along!
