Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, August 2007
We just returned from our trip out East to visit my family. I can’t believe I used to complain about the flight out to MD before. That was nothing compared to traveling that same distance with a baby!
We’re home now and a bit travel weary, but glad to be home. It is so hard for me to be so far from my sisters and their children, and yet I love my home here. We had a great time at a beach house that my sister rented for all of us to stay in. I hadn’t felt that relaxed in so long. But now I have a terrible cold, just when I have so much work ahead of me in the next three weeks.
Much, too much to catch up on. If you are waiting for an email reply from me, please be patient while I get myself back into the swing of things. I just heard some great news from the gallery that will be hosting my show next month in Melbourne, Florida. Once I get myself organized I will announce it here.
I know what you mean by being so far away from your family. My ‘other’ home is in Hawaii(Moloka’i) where I grew up and my sister lives in Hilo. I miss her so much and wish I could live nextdoor to her, but I also love where I live here in NM.
Those heart strings get pulled in many directions all the time!
oh the beach! that looks so goooood. i’ve been lamenting how i haven’t been to the beach at all this summer and now it is getting cold… :(.
i also feel the same way about being far away from my sisters too.
Paula, you mentioned two places i’ve been wanting to visit! how come you like NM more than Hawaii?
Congratulations on getting the show in Melbourne, Bridgette! can’t wait to see more work!
Glad you had a wonderful time! It is hard to be far from family, I know. And flying with wee ones…not fun!
