lesson #131

  • August 07, 2007

They say the best way to learn is through mistakes and errors. Well, that seems to be the case with me often. Sometimes it’s a good thing, where I shrug and say oh, ok, lesson learned. Other times it is stress inducing, fist on the forehead, duh- kind of moment.

My lesson of the night is: be prepared. I saw a call for art for a juried show and that the postmark date is August 10th. No problem, I have slides sitting in my binder, waiting for just such an occasion. Open up my binder tonight to pull out the slides I want to send and find out that I was completely wrong! I either lost the slide or forgot to get it done. So frustrating.

I ordered my slides from www.iprintfromhome.com, so hopefully I will get them in time. I had the images sitting there in the folder in my account there, I just never ordered them.

Sometimes I think I sabotage myself.

Lesson learned.

  1. i often learn most lessons through mistakes and errors, too. if nothing else, hopefully it gives us character and really sets in the lesson?

*fingers crossed* that slides arrive in time. what is meant to be, will be!
