October Field

October Field | acrylic, 5×7 inches
sold

A few weeks ago I painted a series of daily landscapes on small panels using acrylic paint and my palette knife. It was an exercise about mixing colors and painting quickly and expressively. I found it to be very freeing and enjoyed it quite a bit. I would love to be able to transfer what I learned on to much bigger canvases. I have been working one that is 4 feet in my studio. Way different than this 5×7 inch panel!

I have not had a chance to post my paintings or write about them as every single member of my family had been sick the past two weeks. I was the last one to get it and the last one to get better. I feel 95% back to normal today. Lots to catch up on in my studio. But wanted to get at least one of these sweet little landscapes up. I also framed them. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, a frame can really finish a painting.
