I’ve been keeping track of my paintings, date sold, to who, etc on regular Excel spreadsheets. But now that I am painting more and sending work out to different places I want to get some kind of program to keep things really organized. And one where I can do specific queries to pull up information that I need. For amanobooks I used a program similar to Quicken. It works alright, but is definitely a bit outdated. The thought of updating all the inventory and expenses to a new program gives me a dull headache. It keeps track of inventory, expenses, accounts, and invoicing. But inventorying paintings is different since there is only one of each. And I need something with more capabilities.
I found these links and thought I’d post here and see if anyone knows anything about them.

I’m leaning towards WorkingArtist3.0, I think. I welcome any thoughts or advice!
I’m looking for something as well and haven’t decided. I don’t know if you use a mac, but if so make sure that the system works on a mac because not all of them do!
I love it that you are so busy with your art that you need software to track it all.
Thanks Lean for that tip. I have a pc so I won’t have to worry about that.
hi heather! It’s more that I’m neurotic about being organized. With a little one, I have to be! Hope you are doing well. much love to you…
I use Working Artist and I love it. It is very user friendly and you can download a trial version to try for free. Good luck and happy painting.
workingartist is what was suggested on one list that I am on – but I have no idea if it works with mac
thanks glenda and ascender- i downloaded the free trial last night after I got both of your comments and it’s great so far. Thanks for your input!
