30 in 30: Day 3

Day 3

day 3
encaustic mixed media
8×6 inches

Last night when I went to bed I already starting to think I don’t want to do this 30 paintings in 30 days challenge anymore…but quitting after 2 days- that’s just pathetic! Glad I stuck with it. I was reminded how much I enjoy abstracting out my mixed media landscapes.

“There is an eternal landscape, a geography of the soul; we search for its outlines all our lives.” -Josephine Hart

If you don't mind saying how long you think this took to do? Just curious. I can be surprised how long something doesn't take to do and how long I can postpone doing it:) glad you didn't quit but understand if you do:) Laura

It's hard to say- I started the panel on the 1st day of the challenge. Mainly prepped it. Second day messed around with it a bit but got the composition started. Then the 3rd day...i spent the morning on it. It's small, so doesn't take took much time, but still more than I thought it would!
