This one is a little different from my usual; but it’s always good to change things a bit. On second thought, it’s not that different. Just the colors.
I took this picture this past summer of a pink poppy in my front garden. It had started to lose its petals. When I started working on this panel I wanted to create something that spoke to the idea of everything having its season- but without being too cliched.
When I was trying to think of a non-cliche way of saying what I wanted to say, I came upon the phrases in my little red affirmations book: “completeness contains incompleteness. Wholeness contains unwholeness” So I tore the page out, cut the phrases and it was done
Nothing in life is perfect or absolute. Imperfection is what makes us human. Imperfection can be beautiful.
