Women in Wax

 |  February 29, 2008

The encaustic show that I will be participating in, “Women in Wax”, starts tomorrow and will run until the end of the month at the exPRESSive Arts Studio and Gallery in Everett, Washington. I just got an email from Karon Leigh that the show made the headline in the Visual Arts of the A&E for the Everett paper, The Herald. The show runs from March 1st-March 31st. The opening will be held Friday, March 7th, 2008 from 6-9 pm.

Origins, encaustic and mixed media, 10×10 inches

I think Noah and I will have to take a little trip to the Pike Place Market news stand to get a copy of the paper. And maybe pick up some yummy clam chowder for lunch. Mmmmm.

YOur pieces are so filled with souls. Good luck in the show. Reading your blog makes me miss Washington State. I loved going to Pikes Place Market. There was a import store down on the wharf with great baskets and home goods...I need to visit again.

Your work touches a cord in me. It is sensitive and fine. Through what I have seen on your blog I am inspired to become part of the blogger art community. I have so much to learn and am a little nervous that I may misstep and not follow proper etiquette. But, even so, I am very excited to try. This is my first comment ever.
